Biopsy

All unexplained lesions in the mouth should be examined to determine the cause. If we are unable to to determine the cause, we may reemove a small section of the lesion and send it to our laboratory for an accurate diagnosis. Occasionally, we may be able to remove some surface tissue from the lesion using a special brush. This is a much less invasive procedure.
