Decay sometimes destroys a tooth below the gum line. This makes it almost impossible to restore the tooth without a procedure called crown lengthening. Crown lengthening is technique used to lower the gum line so that we can get to decayed section of tooth. Sometimes a tooth is broken below the gum line, crown lenthening is used here so that we can restore the tooth to normal form and function.
